Car painting in Tallinn – what we paint
We paint cars, SUVs and vans in our own paint booth at Telliskivi 57D – anything from one scratched panel to a full respray. If a panel needs straightening or replacing first, we do that too, so your car stays in one workshop.
- Single panels: bumper, door, bonnet, front or rear wing, roof, tailgate, mirror cover
- Part of the body or the whole car
- Colour change
- Plastic parts, carbon fibre and aluminium panels
- Rust spots cleaned and repaired before painting
- Alloy wheel repair and painting
After a serious accident the job starts with body repair: we restore the body geometry, straighten or replace panels and only then paint.
Spot repair and scratch repair
Not every scratch means painting a whole panel. Small scratches and stone chips can often be fixed with a spot repair: we sand and prime only the damaged area, paint it and blend the new paint into the surrounding finish. Whether that works depends on the size and position of the damage and on the paint type – we can usually tell from photos.
If the paint is intact and the panel only has a dent, no painting is needed: paintless dent removal keeps the factory finish.
Colour matching by paint code
Every factory colour has a paint code. We find it on your car, mix the colour by computer and compare it with the car before painting. Where needed we blend into the neighbouring panel so the transition is invisible.
The code is on the manufacturer’s label, usually on the driver’s door pillar, in the engine bay or in the boot. If there is no label, we look it up by VIN. A paint thickness measurement shows whether a panel has been repainted or filled before.
Our own paint booth and heat curing
All paintwork is done in our own paint booth. Filtered air keeps dust off the wet paint, and the paint is cured at a raised temperature, which hardens it evenly and lets us hand the car back sooner. We work to the vehicle manufacturer’s technical requirements and the LKF (Estonian Motor Insurance Bureau) paint quality standards, and every painted panel is checked under bright light before handover and polished where needed.
Bumper and plastic part repair
A cracked or scuffed plastic bumper does not always need replacing. We weld the plastic, restore the factory texture where needed and paint the bumper to match the body, using a primer made for flexible plastic. Spoilers, trims and mirror covers are repaired and painted the same way.
Raptor coating
Raptor is a thick, textured protective coating for areas where normal paint chips quickly: pick-up beds, sills, bumpers and the underbody. The finish is matt with a slightly rough texture, which suits SUVs, pick-ups and work vehicles.
How much does car painting cost?
The price of car painting depends on what needs painting and how much preparation it takes. One panel costs a fraction of a full respray, but even the same panel can vary in price:
| What affects the price | Why |
|---|---|
| Number and size of panels | A bonnet or roof is a bigger surface than a mirror cover. |
| Extent of the damage | Dents, cracks and rust have to be repaired before painting. |
| Paint type | Metallic, pearl and three-stage paints take more work than a solid colour. |
| Blending | To match the shade, the neighbouring panel is sometimes partly painted too. |
| Removal and refitting | Trims, lights, sensors and handles come off before painting and go back on afterwards. |
Send us photos of the damage – a close-up and one showing the whole panel – with the make, model and registration number, and you get a quote before any work starts.
Painting covered by insurance
If the paint damage is an insured event, the insurer pays for the repair: under motor third-party liability insurance it is the at-fault driver’s insurer, under comprehensive (kasko) cover it is your own insurer and you pay the deductible. We prepare the estimate in CABAS and deal with the insurer for you – see insurance claims. We work with customers of all insurers operating in Estonia.
